The Selfishness Apocalypse versus Pure Love World

The foundation for achieving success in our lives — whether it is about feeling well, being healthy or being happy — begins with accepting the ugly truths about humans. The most difficult one to accept is that almost all humans have bad intentions because they compete. And they compete because they are selfish.

Based on Pure Love World Life Coaching, competing entails a continuous two-step process: seeking acknowledgment from others for being or having the most or best of something, while preventing others from doing well — ensuring that they have less than ourselves. All of that in order to validate one's human existence. There are of course differences in the degree to which people compete. What matters is predominance. Do people predominantly compete or collaborate? Collaborating is the opposite — it is walking together toward a horizon of common goals that nurtures the well-being and happiness of all. Based on facts, it becomes apparent that most people predominantly compete.

This is not a reason for us to do the same. Competing generates selfishness — and selfishness produces ill-being. We can only feel well every day when we embody a predominance of healthy and ethical behaviors over toxic behaviors to a significant degree. Some examples include collaborating, being honest, being transparent, being straightforward, and being genuine.

The question is — how do we deal with people who compete or excessively engage in toxic behaviors? The solution is compassion because being an ethical person or engaging in healthy behaviors such as collaborating, being honest or transparent is one of the hardest challenges we face in life. We must build a bridge of understanding for their suffering and feel for their pain.

To compete, people use toxic behaviors as weapons — being dishonest, manipulating, pretending, and rejecting responsibility are among the most common. And for that reason, they do all in their power to keep these weapons in secrecy within their arsenal. All types of people compete — whether they are our spouses, those we believe to be our friends, our neighbors, conventional health professionals, or the leaders of the industries that harm us the most, such as the fast food industry, the pharmaceutical industry, and the cancer industry.

Being dishonest to mislead others is a very common strategy to compete. We find it everywhere, once we see the pattern. As an example, the student who performs best in class will say to others — I am not that good. Conventional health professionals advertise that most common health conditions — whether it is diabetes, cancer, dementia, or migraines — are hereditary. They say that we have to live with them, and that they are passed on from generation to generation. That dishonesty exists only to support the pharmaceutical industry, to sell more drugs, and to ensure that people remain unwell. Migraines are a perfect example — conventional health professionals talk about managing them in order to condition people to believe they have to live with them, so that the pharmaceutical industry can sell more drugs.

The cancer industry tells us they are there to help us, that we are all fighting cancer together — when in reality, they are only interested in one thing: maximizing profit. Companies include sugar in their products because it sells better — sugar being one of the most addictive substances in the world. And they camouflage it through dishonesty. Fruit juice is marketed as rich in vitamins and natural goodness — while loaded with sugar. Soft drinks are sold by selling an experience of happiness, peace, and well-being — while doing the opposite.

Toxic behaviors are really harmful. People do not stab us with a knife — they stab us with behaviors. When we engage in toxic behaviors like competing, being dishonest, manipulating, and pretending, we commit behavioral crimes. And behavioral crimes are among the most harmful things we can inflict on others.
